Message From Asher, July 20, 7:30
i am back in atlanta, in the room with asher. i asked him if he wanted me to tell everyone that reads this update anything. he said "no." so, i asked him if he wanted to thank everyone for praying for him, and he said "yes." then he paused for a fews seconds and added, "i would love that very much."
asher did very well in all his therapies today. he is on a new schedule now, which means that we can't see him until after 4 pm, when all his therapies are finished. this has been really tough on us as well as on him, but it is also, ultimately, a good thing for all of us too.
nothing has changed as far as the house being put back together at this point. it will probably be at least another week before things get moving on it. all in all, though, today has been another day to give thanks for.

I am thankful that Asher did well in his therapies today. I have been praying for him and was especially concerned this morning because you sounded somewhat discouraged in your last update. Tell Asher thank you for his wonderful thanks for everyone's prayers. My daughter, Laura, was a student at Chattanooga Christian with Asher. I met you, Andy, at one of the elementary school picnics at Cumberland Church's pool.

Asher! Glad to hear you are improving so much. I know it is hard to see the improvements you are making but all of us here in Chattanooga are praying for you to keep working hard. We miss you in the neighborhood! I have gotten to meet some of your friends, Josh, Shaun and Mark and they are great. My kids pray for you all the time and we can't wait until you are home and we can visit with you. Leda

I UNDERSTAND ABOUT THE CONCERN OVER ASHERS WEIGHT LOSS AS KIRK WENT FROM 190 DOWN BELOW 130 POUNDS AT SHEPERD...HE LOOKED AS THOUGH HE'D JUST ARRIVED FROM A CONCENTRATION CAMP...ASHERS APPETITE WILL RETURN AS HE HEALS...KIRK IS NOW UP TO 175 AND LOOKING VERY HEALTHY...ASHER WILL TOO...I'M SO GLAD TO HEAR THAT HE IS SO ALERT MENTALLY AND WILL PRAY HE WILL BE MOVED TO THE SPINAL CORD HOSPITAL SOON!!...BLESSINGS KATHY WILDER
